Darrell Berner
1921-2018

Our Lord called Darrell to join him in Heaven on March 26, 2018. He was born on October 12, 1921 in Le Mars, Iowa to Ralph and Ruby Berner. He married Colene Tevis on November 16, 1946. They lived and worked for several years on his family’s farm in Merrill, Iowa and after farming on another acreage in Lawston, Iowa they moved to Sioux City. There Darrell worked for a company called Flasco, he built truck beds and boxes. In 1961 Darrell and Colene moved to Washington State and Darrell worked as a self-taught machinist for nearly thirty years with Mechanical Products of Seattle.

Darrell formed a strong bond with Colene’s family. Multiple generations have been well loved by Uncle Darrell and they will miss him dearly. He is survived by his brother Herschel’s Children, Dr. Terry Berner, several cousins, Cindy Berner Schlichte and their families. Darrell joins in Heaven his wife Colene and their three sons.
