Donald R. Thomas Donald R. Thomas died January 3rd at Providence St. Peter Hospital, surrounded by his children. There will be a viewing on Friday, January 12th, 11am - 5pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 5930 Mullen Rd SE, Lacey, WA. There will be a short graveside service for family and friends on Saturday, January 13th, 11 am, at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 70th St. W, Tacoma, WA. Donald Thomas served 4 years in the US Air Force. He owned a successful printing business for 8 years, and worked as a pressman for the Tacoma News Tribune for 32 years until he retired. Donald was an easygoing, caring man, who enjoyed people and was loved by many. He was a dedicated husband to wife Carolyn, who preceded him in death 8 years earlier. He is survived by his children, Rod Emmons, Louann Packard, Melody Overland, and Steve Thomas, as well as sister Caitlyn Thomas.
